INHABITED CLOTHING
International workshop NABA UVM Messico
AA 2019-20
The workshop aims to explore and understand the methodology to developing a fashion design collection in the present day. I asked them to choose a “issue that concerns contemporaneity”: not related to Fashion (or not only to fashion), but drawing on different resources such as politics, society, culture, anthropology, or others.
Students had answering me using their imagination to design a fashion collection that fight and protest for a new and better world.
They are designing concepts and garments intended as vehicles to communicate their ideas against problems and injustices. They are anti-consumers: they worry about inequality in society, such as human rights and gender pollution. They are concerned about how people will wear their lives in the future.
