‘The Designer’s Jacket’ is an exhibition showcasing 11 outerwear pieces, each designed by a different designer, displayed as true works of art in the historic and highly prestigious Lorenzelli Arte gallery in Milan, reaffirming its connection to the world of design.
The curators, Lorenzo Palmeri and Mario Scairato, invited and selected 11 international designers — whose sensitivity could lend itself to the project — to take on the challenge of designing a garment:
Denise Bonapace (Scegli), Arman Avetikyan (Project#001 “The Birth of a Philosophy”), Alessandro Guerriero (The Desiring Jacket), Giulio Iacchetti (Clerical Jacket), Martinelli Venezia (To the Millimeter), Maria Walter Nielsen (Ice-breaker), Lorenzo Palmeri (The Almost Hidden Pocket), Matteo Ragni (Full Cotton Jacket), Elena Salmistraro (Sei), Mario Scairato (Swat), and Attila Veress (OnOff).
The jackets will be crafted from TENCEL™ Limited Edition fiber, an innovative material produced by Lenzing, sourced from the recycling of a geotextile fabric originally designed to protect glaciers during the summer months.
This marks the material’s first public appearance, offering a biodegradable alternative to its plastic-based counterpart. It was previewed in 2024 at the United Nations during “Glacial Threads: From Forests to Future Textiles”, as part of the International Day of Forests celebrations at the Palace of Nations, United Nations Office, Geneva.

All jackets were made by STP Company, System and technology for protection.
The raw fabric TENCEL™ Limited Edition was colored by Colorsystem.
The installation was entirely made with slabs of Cosmolite® by Stone Italiana, a material composed of 100% recycled minerals.
